Content Writing and Marketing Clients

Digital as a Second Language

DigitalSecondLanguageCatherine Seo is a Professor, Public Speaker and Consultant in Cambridge, MA who needed a website that both informed and served as a resource for visitors. The topic of the Digital Age and the education necessary for those who have not grown up using technology to the extent that we do now is the primary function of this site.  Together, Catherine and I have crafted this information as a first step in understanding how the younger generation communicates (Digital Natives) and then how to move forward so the rest of us can catch up.

Catherine offers a variety of presentations, seminars, keynote speeches and is currently working on her PhD at Fielding Graduate University in Media Psychology. This site will serve as a community building site and a showcase for some of her white papers and articles as she progresses. Like everything digital, this will be an evolving project.

Concept Web Design

Doug Patac and I were both participating in a Joomla workshop led by Bill Tomczak at the Marlboro Graduate Center in Brattleboro, VT this past January, when we got to talking about his website. Now, we have talked before about working together on his site, but on this particular day, he convinced me that he was ready to get this done! So, that's what we did.

In just over a month, we organized and created content for his website that reflected his simple approach to web design and development. After all, Doug's clients know him best  for his professional, educational and straightforward approach to site creation. A talented Joomla developer, Doug does a really good job at making you feel comfortable throughout the project.

Open Source Support Desk

When Open Source Support Desk contacted me to help them revise the content on their website, I was thrilled. Offering support services for Joomla clients from developers to organizations of all sizes, this company is providing something that is critical the security and piece of mind for website owners. Michel already had a plan in mind when he contacted me, but his main goal was to update and reorganize his content. By the time he reached out to me he was anxious to get the job done. So, we dove in and together, we got the job done so he could launch with confidence.

"From the first conversation with Sam, I was confident that I made the right choice in a content writer. Her professional and moivational attitude helped me stay focused and on track so I could start marketing right away. I was impressed with her ability to quickly assess my needs and start running with the ideas." Michel

1-2-3 Preschool Projects

Picture_6Linda Scanlan needed a new website that would be clean and functional, but also would allow her to easily add and change products with the growth of her company. Together we reviewed her old site, created a comprehensive Scope of Work and sought out a SEO professional (Link Moser) before we even got started. Once we had all of those in place, we chose a local web developer, (4Web, Inc.),  found an exceptional photographer (Tom Raffelt- New England Studios) for all of the product images and revised and created new content for the site and products. Now, Linda can add new products quickly and edit her site as she sees fit.

Her monthly preschool curriculum kits are packed with things for the children to do for the entire month. Parents are excited about what their children are learning and providers are thrilled to have the projects all prepared for them. The new Activity Packs are reasonably priced, theme based and full of recycled textural materials and beautiful cut-outs.

Hemp Power Bag Company

Hemp Power BagSusan Maltese needed a new website where she could showcase and sell her hemp products. In addition, sh wanted to be able to  add new products and keep a current schedule of local shows for her patrons. Together with Elizabeth Bonney, we put together a Joomla! site to do just that. We determined that short and sweet content would work well and matched her personality and although she never wants to be too boastful, Susan's bags, aprons and designs are great. Check out her stuff!

4Web, Inc.

Writing the content for this website was a whole lot of fun. Of course, the main reason for that was because I was part of the original team there. Determining what web development platform to use, the target audience and the voice were all critical to matching the overall business style; a combination of fun and professional. Now owned by Jen Kramer, I often work with 4Web and our colleagues to create effective content that can be managed by clients using the Joomla content management system. For a great and well planned out website, call Jen- she'll hook you up!
