Whether you are working with clients or are working with your staff, finding out what motivates them to move forward will drive any project/discussion. Sometimes finding out the underlying motivation will become plain as day, while other times it may not be so obvious.
If you are in a leadership position, you need to consider how to motivate your group- no matter what the end goal. The only way to find out is to create a non-threatening and positive climate in which to begin any conversation or meeting What does that mean? Well, I guess that is what I will start to flesh out in the next blog.
