I am simply fabulous today!
Why am I fabulous you might ask? Well, I am fabulous because I want to be. Anyone who knows me well, understands exactly what that means, but for those that don't, here's a little background on being fabulous. First of all, I am fabulous today because my favorite web designer Jen Kramer showed me how to get into my blog. I haven't ever even been on anyone else's blog, let alone have one of my own. This is my 1st voyage if you will with blogging and I can tell already that I will have fun with this whole thing. The second reason that I am fabulous today is because I enjoy getting a good reaction from people when I tell that that I am fabulous. When people ask me how I am - that is usually my response. Now, that doesn't mean that I always feel fabulous on the inside, but once it is out there in the world, I do start to feel it on the inside. Not to mention the fact that now the inquirer has to react to that. In most cases it causes him/her to rethink what they might have originally said. If they had even the slightest inclination to respond with a "I'm ok...." I can tell you- it doesn't come out. One day I was in the grocery store and in my usual manner, I said hello to many people as I shopped. I talked to adults, kids, the people who work there, etc. I guess I am a bit friendly that way. So, here I was one Saturday morning spending lots of money to feed my family and this older gentleman was in the bread aisle. We smiled and I said hello. He said "How are you today?" and what else could I say, but that I was FABULOUS! That man was so taken back by that and he was smiling away. He thought that was so great. "You don't hear that very often" he says to me. By the last aisle of us crossing paths over and over he told me that I made his day. He said that it was sure nice to meet someone with such a great attitude. Now- THAT made my day. So, the long and the short of it is that you can make a difference in people's lives by something as simple as a positive response to "How are you today?" I just love the word fabulous and now several of my friends are using it. You need not use that word, but try out a word that suits you. I guarantee it will make you feel good from the inside out and will get a reaction. After all, I think we all need a little fun in our lives and this is an easy way to accomplish that. Have a fabulous day! |
